Xpedite aim to be a leading engineering consultancy service who achieve excellence for defence and commercial businesses. Xpedite employs its core service of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) to generate viable proactive maintenance strategies. Customers are then supported through life by offering innovative and valued solutions to manage maintenance, logistical and other supportability issues.

Senior Management

Dean Moss - Managing Director
After gaining 10 years experience as a Marine Engineering Officer with the Merchant Navy and achieving a BEng (Honours) Degree in Marine Engineering, Dean became a Director of Xpedite GOC Ltd in 2004. During his service in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Dean achieved a Class Two (Motor) Certificate of Competency and gained extensive experience of motor and steam systems. In 2002 Dean qualified as an RCM (RCM2) Practitioner (Aladon Ltd), and manages this business area within Xpedite GOC Ltd. Through the IMarEST Dean has also achieved Chartered Engineering Status, which helps him to ensure Xpedite continues to expand and develop.

Alf Menzies - Director
In 2004, following 22 years service in the Royal Navy, Alf Menzies became a Director of Xpedite GOC Ltd. During his service Alf gained expertise in Weapon and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Engineering. Due to his broad weapon engineering equipment knowledge, Alf was selected for a high profile Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) post following an interview with the Integrated Project Team Leader. Within Xpedite GOC Ltd, Alf currently specialises in Weapon and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Engineering, as well as overseeing the communications and IT systems for business environments. In 2001 Alf qualified as an RCM facilitator (RCM2).

George Menzies - Director
George Menzies became a Director of Xpedite GOC Ltd in 2004 after completing more than 22 years service in the Royal Navy. During his time in the Navy he gained expertise in marine engineering systems, this is the area he manages within Xpedite GOC Ltd. George is also Xpedite’s Health and Safety Officer carrying out audits, inspections and risk assessments for business environments. Alongside this he has also become the ‘in-house’ leading expert in Maintenance Management Systems (MMS). In 2005 George qualified as an RCM facilitator.

Kris Westerman - Director
Kris Westerman became a Director of Xpedite GOC Ltd in 2004 following a continuous 12 years in the Royal Navy Submarine Service. Whilst serving in the Royal Navy, Kris gained expert knowledge within nuclear engineering and in many other aspects of sub surface support. Kris became a member of The Institute of Nuclear Engineers, showing an ongoing commitment to nuclear engineering. Kris is also Xpedite’s Human Resources manager, ensuring that all internal HR operations run smoothly and efficiently. In 2005 Kris qualified as an RCM facilitator.

Xpedite Technical Consultants

Our team of highly trained Technical Consultants come from a variety of engineering backgrounds. Their experience is largely Naval based and ranges from time served on small craft right through to Aircraft carriers. Their main areas of expertise are in marine, nuclear, weapon and communications engineering, however they also have extensive knowledge in project management and logistical engineering. Due to this level of experience a number of our consultants have been awarded membership to professional organisations. We are able to offer this high level of technical support not only our head office (Bath) but also from our remote offices in Portsmouth and Plymouth.

Xpedite Support Team

Xpedite’s Support Team have a wide variety of individual skills which enable them to offer an incredibly high level of support to the Company Directors, the Technical Consultants and more recently they have directly supported members of the defence industry. Our Support Team are fully trained on the MoD preferred MMS and RCM. Their training on these systems is ongoing to ensure the team is kept up to date with any changes that may have an impact on the support they provide. Xpedite, as a company, have a strong ethos on personal development, and we encourage all our employees to build on knowledge through training, educational courses and exposure to technical aspects. This not only ensures an employee's personal growth, it also nourishes a strong workforce.
