Services

RCM

Xpedite specialise in the delivery of end to end maintenance strategies based on RCM principles.

RCM projects will be tailored to meet specific customer needs and can range from the analysis of specific assets or equipment to the review of entire organisations.

Our RCM capabilities and information on how to apply RCM are detailed on the dedicated RCM SERVICES page.

RCM from Remote

RCM can be carried out from remote on candidate systems from drawings and documentation. Onsite validation is then carried out by the customer with training to populate new or existing MMS. This service can prove especially valuable for new build projects where local teams have extensive engineering knowledge but have never implemented RCM.

Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) - Through Life Capability Management

An MMS is used to manage maintenance to improve machine performance through best practice and maximise machinery efficiency. At Xpedite we are able to offer a dedicated team of skilled consultants to provide through life capability management on a variety of MMS’.

Our consultants can review existing maintenance, provide fast efficient response to feedback and ensure safe and defensible maintenance is delivered throughout.

We are proud to currently carry out the through life management of the MoD approved MMS  for Surface Combatants - Frigates, Capital Ships and the Sub Surface Fleet within the Royal Navy and truly believe this reflects the high quality of work and commitment that we give.

Safety Cases & Risk Assessing

With the appropriate risk assessments carried out and safety cases in place, the threat to the workforce from accidents and hazards can be minimised.

Xpedite have fully qualified staff able to carry out both safety cases and risk assessments to a high standard to support a safe and defensible approach to system and asset management.

We can carry out precise and comprehensive assessments and reviews on individual job instructions right through to complete systems, equipments and workplaces.

Project Management

To ensure the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives, Xpedite are able to offer the customer fully trained and qualified personnel to achieve these targets.

Our team of qualified personnel are affiliated with the Association for Project Management (APM), which recognises both technical project management and leadership skills.

One of our most recent projects was to manage the ‘whole boat’ application of Reliability Centred Maintenance with the prime contractor on the ASTUTE Class Submarine.  HMS ASTUTE is the largest, most advanced and most formidable vessel of its kind ever operated by the Royal Navy and entered into service in late 2010.

Dedicated Support Contracts

With the broad technical expertise of our staff, we are able to offer a committed team to provide support to the customer in various engineering and management disciplines.

The team will be reliable, efficient and flexible to enable the contract to be completed trouble-free, on time and on budget. Technical staff can be dedicated to long term projects dependant on customer needs.

Material Assessment & Surveys

Xpedite can carry out material assessments and surveys on equipment on behalf of the client to determine maintenance requirements or to investigate causes of accidents from maintenance related issues.

Through the production of an extensive report, areas of concern will be highlighted and presented to the customer.

We currently represent numerous Royal Navy Platform Integrated Project Teams (PIPTs) at Pre Upkeep Material Assessments (PUMAs) offering advice to teams carrying out thorough assessments and surveys on a wide range of equipment. The aim is to ensure that refit maintenance adheres to the same RCM philosophy employed for in-service maintenance.
